On behalf of Screen Academy Scotland and our conference partner the National Film School at IADT in Ireland we invite you to keep Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd of March 2012 free for a GEECT symposium in Edinburgh on the topic of Producing Creative Producers. Following up the lively discussion in Moscow during the VGIK 90th Anniversary Conference in 2009 and the interest expressed there in devoting a larger amount of time to sharing experiences and exploring new approaches to producer education, we are delighted to host this two-day event for GEECT members.

More information on the sessions, keynote speakers, registration etc. will be announced shortly but in the meantime we hope you will make a date in your diary and look forward to welcoming you to Edinburgh during 2012 - Year of Creative Scotland.

Save the date! March 1st/2nd 2012

Screen Academy Scotland and the National Film School at IADT present a two-day GEECT symposium in Edinburgh examining the training and development needs of creative producers.

- What are the needs of Creative Producers and how are these changing?

- How well are schools addressing these needs?

- What more can and needs to be done and who should be doing what?
