Those of you who worked with me or knew me when I was Head of the Northern Film School (Leeds), Director of the Dutch Film & TV Academy (NFTVA), or Dean of Film & TV at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts may be interested to know that the BFI (British Film Institute) has issued a boxset of my films from the 70s and 80s under the tilte AN UNFLINCHING EYE. The work moves from avant-garde to mainstream over 4 DVDs - a potted history of independent filmmaking in that period seen through the prism of one filmmaker's work.
