The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade is the oldest, largest and most prestigious institution of higher education in the field of theatre, film, radio and television, not only in Serbia, but in the major part of the former Yugoslav community. For more than sixty years the Faculty of Dramatic Arts has formulated the criteria in the area of dramatic arts. The school bred the most important authors and artists and its contribution to Yugoslav and Serbian theatre, film, radio and television is undisputed. Even today, with so many different schools, the Faculty attracts more student every year and the number of those who apply surpasses the sum of applicants to all other institutions in Serbia.
