Major Achievements: Hoong Boon Wai, 23, was a third year student when he started developing his 2D Arcade Shooter game Phase Shift: Threats Beyond the Network. This Diploma in Digital Entertainment Technology graduate will be proudly launching Singapore’s first ever student-created PlayStation® game in the market.
Being a gamer himself, Boon Wai was inspired to create Phase Shift because he wanted to challenge himself to create a PlayStation® game from scratch. He consulted his lecturers who supported him, and eventually made the game his Final Year Project in 2010.
