Major Achievements: Miguel Valverde was born in 1971, in Portimão, Portugal. He has a degree in Law, specialization in Copyright Law, by the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
He took part as a permanent member of ICA's commission that decides over the subventions to the national film industry. Also he participated as panelist in several national and international seminars about film programming, film promotion and organization of film festivals. Currently he is one of the directors and programmers of IndieLisboa - International Independent Film Festival, which he helped to create in 2003. He also teaches Copyright Law.
