40th FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH, November 14–20, 2021 - Call for submissions
International Short Film Competition
Dear festival coordinators,
Once again, we cordially invite you to submit your students’ best work from the past year to the International Short Film Competition at this year’s edition of our festival. As usual, prizes worth a total of almost 40,000 euros will be awarded. After the pandemic forced us to hold the 2020 festival digitally as FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH 39½, we are very pleased to be able to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. We’re confident that we’ll be able to host our festival live in Munich again. However, due to all the uncertainties that unfortunately still remain, we cannot completely rule out another digital edition of FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH.
All submissions must be made via the platform festhome.com.
Requirements for submission:
a) Submission by the festival coordinator(s)
b) A maximum of 70 minutes per institution
c) Maximum duration of each film: 30 minutes
d) Films must have been completed in 2020 or 2021
The code for submitting footage to the International Short Film Competition free of charge is: 40YEARSOFFSF
The deadline for submissions to the International Short Film Competition is July 15, 2021.
Calls for submissions to the special competitions will follow shortly.
We look forward to receiving lots of submissions!
Best regards from the
FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH team
