Mission & Strategy
ENS Louis Lumière offers theoretical, practical, technical and artistic education and training
for those wishing to go into the various branches of the audiovisual industry. Run under the
auspices of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, it offers a state-funded course at
postgraduate level leading to a nationally-recognised Masters diploma.
The school also conducts applied research in film and video, photography and sound
Higher Education: the school wishes to remain at the forefront of professional concerns
resulting from an ever-changing technological environment. It offers training courses which
combine theory and practice with a technical and creative approach, providing essential
training and practice in the following areas: film (cinematography), photography, sound and
HD/digital video
