Mission & Strategy
The School of Film and Media in the Faculty of Arts at Kibbutzim College was founded in 2008. The School is the only one in Israel to award a bachelor's degree in communication and film. Students earn a B.Ed. F.A and a teaching certificate for post-primary schools.
The study experience within the communication and film studies program is personal and includes learning in small groups, led by the leading academics and professionals in the field. Students at the School of Film and Media receive comprehensive academic and professional training, and enjoy technological resources and production scholarships.
The studies last four years and include four study days in the first two years, three study days in the third year and two days in the fourth year - in order to allow students to work and integrate into the communication and film industry during their studies. As part of the studies, it is possible to specialize in one of the two fields - film or communication - and to choose from a variety of elective courses.
Along with the theoretical classes and workshops, the School of Cinema and Media holds various events throughout the year, Guest lectures, Film screenings, Exhibitions, Film festivals, Artist workshops and Conferences in which the school’s students and Faculty take part.
The School provides a rich and varied selection of professional equipment for students’ use during their studies, and the best technologies and aids. All the equipment is up to date with the latest industry standard, and we renew our equipment every year.
