Major Achievements: "Rima has done her English Honors from Calcutta University and Post Graduate Diploma in Television Production from Hyderabad Central University.
Rima has been involved in post-production and production of television programs for the last 18 years in Calcutta and Hyderabad. She edited the first ever children’s fiction series produced in the high definition format for the first time in India.
She enjoys working on films with a social cause such as, Quamer – Working to Live, which is about an 11-year-old girl who lives with her family in one room in the Old City, Hyderabad. The film won the Audience Prize at Lucas Children’s Film Festival, Germany, Audience Prize at Dubai International Film Festival – 2007, Audience Prize at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and was also nominated for the 21st International Documentary Film Festival, Amsterdam.
Rima’s portfolio includes broadcast programs, corporate, promotional, documentaries and ad films in addition to new media formats. She was the post production head and senior editor for Joyce Meyer Ministries, Asia (2002 – 2013), and also set up a post-production unit consisting of ten edit, three audio recording suites with Pro Tools and one graphic station.
Rima has also worked as an Editor with Padmalaya Studios, Hyderabad and at Ramoji Film City for ETV Bangla/ Marathi and is proficient with Avid, Final Cut Pro, Media 100, Sony ES-5, Sony ES-7, DPS Velocity, Softimage DS, Discrete Edit and Analog Edit Consoles. Earlier in her career she worked as a freelance copywriter and features writer for The Statesman, Calcutta."
