For the first time, a German Broadcaster is leading a search for new international co-productions by inviting proposals for the development of scripted series from across the global market.
Writers, showrunners and production companies are invited to present early stage concepts for fresh and compelling TV series with a broad and entertaining, cinematic appeal. The proposed shows should transcend national traits and boundaries and appeal to varied international audiences through exciting settings, fascinating characters, riveting storylines and universal themes.
In particular, ProSiebenSat.1 is scouting for episodic, returning prime time series (including procedurals such as crime, medical, romantic comedies, etc.). Early stage concepts for exceptional serialised "must-see-TV" mini-series and series introducing a significant German angle are also welcome. All entries should present strong potential for an international market and co-production.
After a comprehensive evaluation process led by ProSiebenSat.1’s International Co-Production department, the company plans to invest in the development of up to fifteen projects no later than the end of 2015. Parallel to the creative development process, ProSiebenSat.1 will also offer its support in finding the best international partners for the production of the selected projects.
The submission period starts on June 01, 12:00 CEST and ends on August 3, 23:59 CEST.
Eligible for submission are
– Film and television professionals with five years' proven experience in the industry
– Production companies with proven production experience
– Graduates of recognized film and TV schools
Production companies are allowed to submit up to five proposals.
Film and Television professionals not attached to a production company at the time of submission, may submit up to two different proposals.

You can find there also the link to the online registration form. After filling out the form and agreeing to the General Terms & Regulations you should upload one single combined PDF document in English (2MB maximum) containing:
A one page (A4) synopsis summary to include: tagline, references, plot/s and theme/s, returning series and international co-production potential), and up to a maximum of nine additional A4 pages including:
– Detailed first season arcs/plots
– Main characters description
– 3-4 episodes (short) synopsis
– Visual approach
– Full pilot synopsis
– Filmography of submitter/s (max. one page for each)
Filmographies must be included in the required combined pdf document but will not be counted as part of the official proposal.
Every proposal registered and accepted through the system will receive a tracking number via automated e-mail (to the address given in the registration form) only after completing the process. This is the official proof of submission and it will be used for future correspondence to and from ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland. It is the entrant’s responsibility to verify he receives this tracking number as proof of submission. In case of technical problems, it’s the entrant’s responsibility to immediately inform the International Co-production department through this designated e-mail address international@prosiebensat1.com
